Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, met with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to discuss potential collaborations in defense equipment production. Prabowo expressed Indonesia’s interest in partnering with Turkish companies to co-produce defense equipment and advance joint ventures in the defense industry. He highlighted the ongoing partnerships with Turkish defense companies like Roketsan, Aselsan, Havelsan, and Baykar. Despite the absence of a formal trade agreement, Prabowo remains optimistic about increased trade between the two countries. He also stressed the importance of finalizing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to enhance economic ties. Prabowo emphasized the significance of mutually beneficial trade and expressed confidence in overcoming trade barriers through cooperation between Trade Ministers.
