President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, embarked on a journey from Solo to Klaten, Central Java, on Monday afternoon to kick off the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, a key initiative of his administration. The warm welcome from enthusiastic residents, teachers, and schoolchildren who lined the streets to greet him added to the excitement of the occasion. The crowd cheered “Pak Prabowo! Pak Prabowo!” as the President, dressed in a brown suit and black peci (cap), waved and smiled while distributing shirts to the people along the route. The joyous atmosphere continued as more residents gathered in Klaten to catch a glimpse of the President. The official launch event of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District, highlighting its significance in President Prabowo’s economic agenda. With over 80,000 cooperatives planned to be established nationwide by October 28, 2025, the program aims to boost rural economies, enhance farmers’ trading conditions, and generate employment opportunities, promoting comprehensive development from the grassroots level.
